For the attention of every person taking part in any Project Awesome activity: you are required to read the following disclaimer before we sprinkle you with our pixie dust and top up your awesomeness. 

THE QUITE BORING BUT VERY IMPORTANT PART, SO PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY – LIMITATION OF OUR LIABILITY.
Project Awesome (also referred to herein as ‘we’ / ‘us’) activities are predominantly physical and may be strenuous. You should always consult your GP before taking up any strenuous activity. It is your responsibility to ensure that you participate within your own physical capacity and accounting for any medical conditions you may have.

Project Awesome activities may include the use of steps and obstacles. This could increase your risk of injury. You use such obstacles and any location at which any Project Awesome activity is held entirely at your own risk.

You are responsible for any belongings you may bring with you to any Project Awesome activity. If you leave them unattended, you do so at your own risk.

All Project Awesome events are free to participants and are run by volunteers. There are no permissions expressed or implied by the Project Awesome organisers or session leaders. Participants  in Project Awesome events make use of the public spaces and facilities at their own risk and without express permission from the Project Awesome organisers or council authorities.

By signing this disclaimer you accept that you participate in Project Awesome events at your own risk and that it is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit and able to take part.

Children under the age of 11 years old are the responsibility of their parents or guardians and need to be accompanied at all times before, during and after any Project Awesome events.

To the extent permitted by UK law, Project Awesome and its volunteers do not accept responsibility for injury, loss or damage sustained by a participant, participation in a Project Awesome activity is entirely at your own risk.

Strike a pose – regarding our photographers and filmmakers
During Project Awesome activities, you may be photographed or filmed by Project Awesome leaders, trainers and other professional or amateur photographers or filmmakers. By attending any Project Awesome activity, you agree that you may be photographed and/or filmed by such people and that the resulting images may be used, published and/or made the subject of intellectual property rights (such as copyright) by us or (as we direct) by a third party for promotional, media or any other lawful purpose.

Register of Members and UK GDPR Notice
Project Awesome keeps a register of members names for insurance purposes. By attending a session and signing this disclaimer you agree to your first and last name being included in this register.

Project Awesome will not pass your information to any third parties or process or use it for any marketing purposes. Your information will be held securely and will not be transferred outside of the United Kingdom.

We will maintain the register of members in perpetuity in order to ensure that you are counted as a member of Project Awesome and are, therefore, covered by the terms of our insurance policy in the event we or you need to make a claim under the terms of our insurance policy.
